About Dr. Fischer
Dr. Ken Fischer has been in private practice as an orthodontic specialist since completing the orthodontic graduate program at UCLA in 1975. He has been involved in research, teaching, continuing education, and product design for many years.
He is an active participant in several community and professional organizations;
he is a member and a past president of the California
Association of Orthodontists, Orange County Dental
Society, Foundation for Orthodontic
Research, and Rotary Club of Villa Park. He currently
is a member of the Board of Directors for the Pacific
Coast Society of Orthodontists
and a consultant to the Dental Board of California.
Dr. Fischer is the Forensic Odontologist for the OC
Sheriff's Department.
As an orthodontic specialist, Dr. Fischer offers treatment ranging from straightening a single tooth to complex, surgical repositioning of the jaws, including temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems, cleft palate and birth defects, early wisdom tooth removal (enucleation), and soft tissue (gingiva) removal by electrosurgery. Dr. Fischer strongly encourages active communication between members of the patient's dental team so that any post-orthodontic restorative and gingival treatment is in harmony with the completed orthodontic result. As a designer of plastic braces and a clinician treating many people in the entertainment industry, Dr. Fischer is able to knowledgeably discuss every alternative in which type of braces would be best for you, even straightening teeth without braces using Invisalign®.
